AKVIS NatureArt is an interesting utility that offers a fast and easy way of adding certain effects to your photos.

More specifically, this handy tool lets you add nature effects like lightnings, clouds, and other natural phenomena to your pictures. As you’ve probably guessed, this neat tool is most effective when used to enhance digital photos that depict outdoor landscapes.

Not a great number of supported effects are provided within AKVIS NatureArt, just 7 in the default edition and 2 more in the Deluxe/Business version of the app. These 7 are as follows: rain (used to add raindrops to an image, from drizzle to downpour), sun (adds a depiction of the sun to the photo), water (adds an impressively realistic representation of a body of water to the image), lightning (adds lightning strikes as during a thunderstorm), clouds, frost, and rainbow. All of them can be thoroughly customized in little detail. Once tweaked to your liking, the settings for every supported effect can be saved to presets and used at later times.

Though it may sound like a simplistic toy more suitable for children and inexperienced users looking to mess around with landscape photos, the results of using this tool on some photos can be truly amazing. It’s indeed a rather simple tool that lacks the sophistication of powerful graphic processor, but I still consider it to be worth a shot, as it can give a stunning look to a rather dull picture. Anyway, considering the rather small number of supported effects, the price of this tool seems a bit high to me.
